Course Overview
Around 15% of people have a learning difficulty, which means they can find it harder to learn certain skills. You will learn about a range of specific learning difficulties. It's great for people working in a variety of sectors, such as healthcare, social care and education.
What you'll learn
This course is made up of five units:
- The characteristics of ADHD, ADD, dyslexia and dyscalculia
- How specific learning difficulties can affect children and adults in different ways
- The importance of early diagnosis
- The various assessment methods available to diagnose specific learning difficulties
- How individuals can be supported to gain, start and continue with study and employment
Eligibility Criteria
- You must currently live in England
- You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study
- You must be over the age of 19
- You must not be on an apprenticeship
There is a £125 cancellation fee if you enrol and do not complete or withdraw from the course. This fee is to cover administration costs.

This course is funded by the government's Adult Education Budget, which means you may be able to study for free.

The duration of this course is seven weeks.
