Course Overview
Social housing is about more than just providing a place to live. As a housing officer, you will manage complex and difficult situations, and be responsible for accurate reporting. This 7-week course will help you understand the challenging behaviour and safeguarding elements of this career.
What you'll learn
This course is made up of five units:
- Introduction to the social housing sector
- Understand the principles of safeguarding and equality and diversity
- Understand mental and physically ill health
- Understand reasons for problematic behaviour
- Understand issues affecting isolated tenants
This level 2 course is particularly suited for a career as a housing officer, hotel manager or care home advocate.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must currently live in England
- You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study
- You must be over the age of 19
- You must not be on an apprenticeship
There is a £125 cancellation fee if you enrol and do not complete or withdraw from the course. This fee is to cover administration costs.
