Less than two-thirds of those receiving care feel extremely satisfied with the quality of service they receive. To offer a sense of respect, safety and dignity, proper customer service in Health and Social Care settings is essential: this Level 2 Course gives you the foundation you need.

Course Overview

The best healthcare providers thrive by creating positive working relationships with patients, families, and residents. This fully online level 2 certificate is designed to help you develop these positive working relationships. You will learn about customer expectations and how to adapt environments and your communication styles for customers with specific needs.

What you'll learn

This course is made up of 4 units:

  • Understanding customer expectations in health and social care settings
  • How to identify the types of customers who interact with health and social care services
  • Different communication methods used in health and social care settings
  • How to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for diverse needs
Eligibility Criteria
This course is government funded, you must meet the following criteria to be able to study for free:
  • You must currently live in England    
  • You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study    
  • You must be over the age of 19  
  • You must not be on an apprenticeship

There is a £125 cancellation fee if you enrol and do not complete or withdraw from the course. This fee is to cover administration costs.

This course is funded by the government's Adult Education Budget, which means you may be able to study for free.

The duration of this course is seven weeks.
